Advertising Information
Marketing and advertising for Restaurant Referral includes thousands of direct mailings to businesses and travelers;
Google adsense; direct mailing to restaurants in our guide; various nationwide advertisement
listings including in the New York Times and USAToday; various press releases;
numerous web-directory listings; and opt-in email marketing.
We are also SEO optimized, listed in various directories and carried by numerous search engines
including Yahoo and Google.
Advertising Options on Restaurant Referral are presented at different Levels. The Levels are defined by the location/placement of the ad space.
Level I: 4 spaces available at the top of Restaurant Referral main page.
Includes duplicate ad in the mid/lower section of page with hyperlink.
Level II: 4 spaces available at the top of Restaurant Referral consecutive pages (2+)
Level III: Ad space that is available at the top or on the side of the first page of any Restaurant Referral STATE page.
Level IV: Two Banner/Buttons which are placed on the first page of any Restauranat Referral STATE page.
Level V: Ad space that is available at the top or on the side of any consecutive (2+) pages of Restaurant Referral STATE pages.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. All ads submitted must be in either .jpg or .gif format.
2. All ads submitted must be in the appropriate size/resolution for the ad space bought.
3. Ads for LEVELS I, II, III, and V are ONE FRAME, NON-ANIMATED, STATIC IMAGES. These ads do NOT function as links, nor can they contain hyperlink text.
Level I ads include a duplicate ad placed lower on the page which has a hyperlink.
4. Ads for LEVEL IV (the banner space) and LEVEL VI can be animated, but must meet other size restrictions. These ads DO function as links when clicked.
5. Ads which contain adult themes or explicit material will NOT be accepted.
6. We reserve the right to deny ad space for any ad we find objectionable or spammy.
7. We reserve the right to refuse placement of ANY advertisements for ANY REASON.
8. All ads are subject to the final approval of Restaurant Referral.
9. Button ads must be NO LARGER than 50k in pixel dimension size. We HIGHLY recommend keeping your ads below 20k for faster loading.
10. Banners must be NO LARGER than 50K in pixel dimension size. We HIGHLY recommend keeping your banners below 20K for faster loading.
11. Avoid placing text or logos near the edges of your ad, as they may not display properly.

Banner ads are 468x60. Only TWO Banner ads will be placed on each State's website FIRST page.
Banner ads can be animated so long as they do not exceed size restrictions (no more than 50K).
For faster loading, keep banners below 20k in size. Banner ads also contain a hyperlink to your website when clicked.
NOTE: Some animations (i.e. fast flashing) may appear spammy and could be denied ad space.

Button ads are 150 x 166 and located on each state's first page.
It is not possible to specify the location/placement of a button ad on the page.
Button ads can be animated so long as they do not exceed size restrictions (no more than 50K).

Level VII: Logo with Link
Logos size is 80 x 45, and can NOT be animated. Logos can NOT exceed 15K pixel dimension size.
We also allow space for 60 characters of text (including spaces/punctuation) to describe your services/site.
This ad space must be purchased for a minimum of 3 months at a time.

Last Option: Link Exchange
At Restaurant Referral, we support free link exchanges with sites that are relavant to tourism, travel within the
United States, restaurant services, and other related industries. This is strickly subject to our approval, on a case-by-case basis.
If you are interested in a link exchange with your website, please send us your website address for our review. If approved,
we will supply you with our image, description and link for your site. Our link must be easily accessible on your site.
In return we will include your small image/logo (66 x 40; less than 15K), site name, 3-4 word description and link to your site on one of
our Internet Sites/Great Sites to Visit pages. You will have the option to select which Restaurant Referral website your link is included on.

Terms
Our ad prices start at $10/month for logo/link, and most are well below $100/month. Click HERE for a complete price list.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
All ad fees are paid in full and in advance of ad placement.
We current accept payment via PayPal, check/money order, or credit card payment via Paypal's secure server (no Paypal account required.)
If paying by check/money order, please allow sufficient time for funds to clear before ad placement.
If you cancel your ad placement at least 5 days before it starts running, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel your ad from 4 days prior to running, till after it is running, NO refund will be issued.
We will work with you to ensure that your ad displays correctly. We will contact you if there appears to be a problem
with your ad display prior to running it on our site. Once your ad is running, if there is a problem with how your ad
is displaying, and it is not easily/quickly rectified upon your contact with us, your ad will be removed. If the problem is
brought to our attention within the first 2 days of the ad running, and it is not fixable, your ad will be cancelled and your money will be refunded.
After the first 2 days of the ad running, no refund will be issued.
Once your funds and advertisement file are received by us, we will notify you as to when your ad will start running on our site.
Scheduling your ad to run for a specific timeframe (for certain dates) is not possible.
Ad space is "bought" in monthly increments, and will be scheduled in the follow manner: ads that start running on the
5th of a month, will continue to run until the 4th of the following month.
Likewise, an ad that starts on the 1st of any month, will run until the last day of that particular month; and ads
that start on the 15th of any month will run until the 14th of the following month; etc. All months are treated equally,
containing 30 days, regardless of holidays, vacation, or leap year, etc.
NOTE: In the event of our server failing, we will make appropriate adjustment/accomodations for ad time purchased.
Please rest assured, we have a better than 99.8% up-time with our server and do not anticipate such problems to occur.
